Tue. Feb 08, 2011 Benefest week #3 in review with a quick look inside the Pickathon experience...
By Tim LaBarge   For those seeking a mid-winter Pickathon experience, Friday night at The Spare Room came pretty darn close to watching a couple of late-night sets in the Galaxy Barn. Truckstop Darlin' kicked the night off with some heartfelt and gritty alt-country. Then the dancing heated up when Caleb Klauder and his band took us on a trip to where it all started with some real country and swing tunes.

There's a pretty good chance Saturday night's final Benefest show at The Woods will take you right back to, you guessed it, the Woods Stage at Pickathon. Expect beautiful, intimate performances from Pickathon veterans Eric Johnson (Fruit Bats) and Andy Cabic (Vetiver) along with Richard Swift.

This show is already close to 3/4 sold-out, so we suggest picking up TICKETS this week if wanting to guarantee entry.

Come on out and support the arts at Buckman Elementary and Portland Schools Foundation.
