Just a small piece of feedback on the website: When the mouse isn't hovering over the content, it goes all translucent, which is pretty cool, but also means that if you use the scrollbar on the right to scroll down, you can't really read what you're scrolling. Everybody is so excited for this year's festival! The lineup is spectacular! Thanks so much for all the work y'all do in organizing, we really appreciate it.

Never mind, I just saw that the mobile phone app would cost you $5,000. The 2011 Northwest Folklife Festival had a app that worked really well for me and I doubt that they spent a lot of money on it, maybe you could get in touch with their developer. You should be able to find it by searching the app stores for "Folklife".

Our website is really in beta stages and will not work on phones (it's OK on iPads) for the short term but have no fear as more cool things will be showing up day by day as we work out the kinks.
The schedule will not come out for at least another month (as usual). It just takes time to fit that part of the puzzle together.
Day ticket will also be very limited this year since our minimize growth direction (chosen by you) put the pinch on the number we can offer. These will go fast and we don't recommend you count on them if you are dead set on coming this year since everything seems to be selling at light speed this year.

I like the look of the new website, but it does not play well with my phone...and since my phone is what I use primarily even when I'm at Pickathon for lineup and general information I'm gonna have to give it a thumbs down....sorry (really I'm not a yuppie scumbag....really...I'm not...) It would be great if you posted the day-by-day line up for attendees who can't attend the entire weekend. Especially since day passes aren't available, so for those of us who can only attend Saturday - we are paying for two days that we can't use.

We are truly sorry the Car Camping passes sold out so fast but if you didn't know already Pickathon is not really a camp with your car festival and the few we had remaining sold out quickly.
Just to be clear we did post the 8AM ticket time on our website and facebook pages in the comment sections.
Selling tickets so fast is new territory for us and so we are learning too.
We appreciate the good constructive feedback, and we will continue to watch things closely and try to help folks navigate the best we can.

Sorry, but I am going to complain, fair warning... Went on the website to get tix at midnight last night in an effort to get camp near your car passes, as the "secret" release of car camping passes sold out. Tix were not available at midnight, were not available at 7:30am this morning. Then, had to go to work and at 8:45 all the camp near your car passes were sold out too. Yes, popularity has its price, but you could let people know what time tix are going on sale so they have a chance to get them. Or is it a matter of knowing the right people? It will be a much different experience this year and not for the better. Now I am going to check out the lineup...

We have a VW van and were only able to buy the camp near your car tickets at 8:06 this morning (vs. the camp in your car) and was wondering if there would be a trade up option for folks who would rather the "tent" space allocated could be used for their van? A factor in buying the tickets is also the attractions available for children, like the juggling folks, etc. in that outdoor area. It's not anywhere I can find on the website. Can you help with this?

I know you were all trying to limit attendance, but the price hike was ridiculous. You should just sell less tickets. Overall, it really isn't a small price increase. When you add the parking and everything, it gets prohibitive for a lot of people, and the festival loses its rootsy feel. I suggest you come up with a different strategy next time. The festival has been my favorite for the last few years.
