Thu. Aug 21, 2014 Thanks.
By Pickathon
Admittedly, it's been a bit too long for us to come out and give everyone a big pat on the back and genuinely sincere 'Thanks'... Well, all that can be said at this point is - better late than never. We've spent the past few weeks digging out, cleaning up, tucking away, checking out all the amazing photos, and really just soaking it all in. Pickathon 2014 was the best yet, hands down, and we have you to thank for that. Thanks, from all of us here at Pickathon, to every single attendee, musician, volunteer, creative contributor, sponsor, vendor, staff, neighbor, family member and friend. We did it, you did it, and it was indeed the best possible weekend that any of us could have ever imagined.

What, you missed Pickathon this year? Hmm... well, first of all, that's CRAZY! Secondly, lucky for you, there is ample documentation and several choice reviews from so many of our favorite writers & photographers that were in attendance. Check 'em out! The New York Times, Paste Magazine, SPIN, Consequence of Sound, Stereogum, NationSwell, Portland Mercury (Here, Here, Here, & Here), Oregonian, Willamette Week, Eugene Weekly, Seattle Weekly, Fretboard Journal, The Bluegrass Situation, The 405, The Austin Chronicle, Jambase, Spectrum Culture, Oregon Music News, QUIP Magazine, ReDefine Magazine, OPB State of Wonder, QRO Magazine, Impose Magazine, The Bay Bridged, Ghettoblaster Magazine, Eleven PDX, SSG Music, Vortex Magazine, PSU Vanguard, Vortex Magazine, and last but not least, Monovita. We know that's not everyone... but at least a well rounded look.

It's hard to imagine, but we're already hard at work on the 2015 edition of Pickathon. Dates are *looking* like they'll be July 31-August 2, so keep an eye out for official announcements there, as well as upcoming news on early tickets.

Thanks again and have a truly amazing end to your summer.

See ya again real soon.

- Your pals at Pickathon.
